They consist of a lead round weight and a steel wire embedded in it, bent at the appropriate angle. This wire is formed on one side into an eyelet shape, which is attached to the leader, and on the other side into a snap shape, allowing for quick lure changes. We have abandoned the removable wire, popular in the "czeburaszka" method, due to its low safety level when fighting a large, highly resistant fish.
Thanks to the movable connection of the head with the offset hook, the lure achieves a more natural movement, better provoking the predator's attack, especially in the last, decisive moment. It can work in any plane, not just in the hook line, as in a classic jig head. In the last phase of sinking, when the weight has already touched the bottom, the rubber sinks to the bottom more slowly, thanks to the loose placement of the hook on the head's snap. The second advantage of this rigging is the fact that the hook is permanently attached to the rubber and only the weight is changed. This way, we avoid damage to the soft lure caused by pulling out the jig head hook.
This type of weight is also a great solution for weighting large rubbers rigged with a system and stinger hooks. It can also be used to weight a spinnerbait if we want to fish deeper areas than its normal range.
