HAGANE technology, present for years in Shimano's best reels, offers high durability and the best work quality. The Sahara FJ features a cold-forged HAGANE gear made from a single piece of aluminum, which is characterized by slower wear and greater resistance to overloads. Unlike other gears in reels in this price segment, it was made without the need for additional mechanical processing, which favorably influenced the structure of the metal it is made from. The reel's drive, including the gear, is supported by the technologically advanced X-SHIP drive, which uses two additional bearings to stabilize components during high overloads. This allows for greater winding power without fear of components jamming, leading to damage to the main gear. To enhance the experience of spinning with this reel, we have also equipped it with Silent Drive technology, which reduces noise emissions from the operation of internal metal components, ensuring smooth and pleasant operation.
Made of strong graphite, the reel's body is lightweight, allowing the Shimano Sahara FJ to be used in literally any spinning fishing technique. The feeling of lightness of the entire construction is further enhanced by G-FREE Body technology, which shifts the reel's center of gravity towards the angler's hand. Thanks to the use of the A-RC spool, the Sahara FJ can be successfully used even in ultralight spinning variants, as the widened rim and special spool profile allow for long casts with any size lures.
There are as many as 12 models available, in sizes from 500 to C5000, offering different sizes, power, and gear ratios. Regardless of the species you are targeting, the Sahara FJ series offers a wide selection of models that will allow you to enjoy every moment spent by the water for many seasons.
